Rain will come to Fresno and other areas of the Valley on Monday before dry weather and warmer temperatures move in, the National Weather Service in Hanford says.
Monday’s storm could include strong thunderstorms in the Southern Sierra Nevada this afternoon and evening, and rain could linger in the mountains through Tuesday.
The warm-up, which is expected to begin Wednesday, could extend to at least Saturday, NWS-Hanford said.
Fresno has received 1.58 inches of rain in April and 7.44 inches for the July through June rain year. The historical rain-year average is 11.50 inches.
